[Question] Gentle Torrent and the Caster's Debuffs

Is Gentle Torrent supposed to lower the duration on negative statuses if it passes over the caster? It's now possible to do this because of Void Refraction, but the negative effects are not shortened. I was wondering if this was intentional.

No it is not intentional, or no it is not supposed to reduce the statuses of the caster? |
